David Scotton

Position: Veterinarian, Founder
Interests: Contributor to Southeast Gazette, Ultrasounds, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Metalwork, Carpentry, Tractors

Dr. David Scotton is a highly skilled and experienced veterinarian and a co-founder of SECAH (Southeast Community Animal Hospital). With over 20 years of experience in the field, he has built a reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated practitioner, known for his expertise in internal medicine, surgery, and ultrasound.

In addition to his veterinary work, Dr. David is also a contributor to the Southeast Gazette and has a variety of personal interests outside of work. He is a skilled metalworker and carpenter, and enjoys tinkering with tractors in his free time. His passion for animals and his dedication to his profession make him a valuable asset to SECAH.

Along with his co-founder and wife, Dr. David established SECAH with the goal of providing high-quality, compassionate care to all pets. He continues to work tirelessly to ensure that the hospital stays at the forefront of veterinary medicine and remains a trusted resource for pet owners in the community.

We are honored to have Dr. David as a part of our team and are grateful for his contributions to SECAH and to the veterinary community as a whole. Laurie Scotton

Position: Veterinarian, Founder
Interests: Long walks with her dog, Gardening, Reading

Dr. Laurie Scotton is a well-rounded individual who brings a unique blend of passion, skill, and expertise to the animal hospital she co-founded with her husband. As a veterinarian, she has a deep love for animals and a strong commitment to providing the best possible care to every patient she sees. Her interest in long walks with her dog, gardening, and reading demonstrates her love for nature and her desire to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She is known for helping in various humanitarian efforts. Her love for animals extends beyond her work at SECAH and she takes pride in giving back to her community.

In addition to her work at SECAH, Dr. Laurie also has a love for cows and farming. She sells meat on the side, showcasing her passion for agriculture and her entrepreneurial spirit. Her dedication to her work, combined with her wide range of interests, makes Dr. Laurie a valuable member of the SECAH team and a respected member of the veterinary community.

Position: Relief Veterinarian
Interests: Dachshunds, Dermatology, Ultrasounds, Reading, Traveling, Spending time with her family

Dr. Rebecca Stewart is a highly skilled and dedicated veterinarian, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role at SECAH. With a passion for dachshunds and a special interest in dermatology, she is a valuable asset to the team and provides the best possible care to all of her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Rebecca enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. Her love for adventure and exploring new places is a testament to her curious and open-minded nature. Her dedication to her work, combined with her wide range of interests, makes Dr. Rebecca a well-rounded individual who is committed to providing the best possible care to her patients and their families.

Alex Farris

Position: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Interests: Painting, Being in the great outdoors, Tending to her beloved plants

Having dedicated herself to our animal hospital as a veterinary assistant for the past six months, Alex has seamlessly transitioned into her new role as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion for animals and commitment to their well-being shines through in everything she does, and we couldn't be more excited to have her expertise and enthusiasm on board.

Beyond her veterinary work, Alex finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. With her furry companion, Paris the Frenchie, by her side, Alex understands firsthand the bond between pets and their families, making her an invaluable asset to our practice.
